Stapelbroek for Metronom Theater Oberhausen
For the Metronom Theatre in Oberhausen, we realised a comprehensive refurbishment on a total construction area of 3,500 m², giving the foyer and all central audience areas a new shine. The brief: to implement a modern room and lighting concept that does justice to the special atmosphere of the theatre and at the same time meets the highest functional requirements. From the imposing chandelier with a diameter of over four metres to the striking louvre wall in the stairwell – every design element was planned and implemented with care.
Four counters over 75 metres long, around 1,000 new lights and 600 metres of newly staged light coves create an impressive overall picture. In addition to the foyer, the cash desk, cloakroom, bar and lounge areas as well as the toilet cores were also completely modernised. We also redesigned the ancillary areas – from the lounges and canteen to the cloakrooms, changing rooms and make-up rooms for the ensemble. The result: a completely renewed theatre experience – both on and behind the stage.
