Stapelbroek for Unilever
The new headquarters of Unilever Benelux, which our Stapelbroek team had the pleasure of realising, is located in the heart of Rotterdam on the ‘Hofplein’. It extends over six floors of an existing building from 1960 with a very striking concrete structure. The new Unilever plant offers space for 750 employees.
The interior is designed as a city with streets and shops: Unilever City. Multi-purpose cabinets’ placed between the concrete structure form a street in the centre of the building. These serve as Unilever’s internal shop window. Products can be displayed in the cabinets, but they can also be used for phone calls, discussions or quiet working. The ‘street’ houses the workstations of the various Unilever departments, each with its own identity, brand and character traits.
